Your therapist asks where you're tight, what you do all day, and how much pressure you like, then shapes the session around that. Arrive 10 minutes early to fill out a short massage health form.

From $63
Massage at Kintsu is unhurried and built around how your body feels today. Before you get on the table, your licensed massage therapist asks where you're tight, what you do all day, and how much pressure you like, then checks in again once you're settled. From there they work with Swedish strokes, kneading, and slower targeted work wherever you need it most. There are two massages and three lengths. Clinical Restore is the full-body session most people should start with. Precision Deep Relief is deeper, focused work for the knot you can point to. Thirty minutes fits a lunch break, sixty is the standard full body, and ninety leaves room for everything. Every session happens in a private treatment room at our Manassas Park practice.
Who It's For
Clinical Restore is for anyone who wants to feel looser and calmer: people who sit at a desk all day, stand for work, carry kids around, or simply haven't had a massage in a while. Precision Deep Relief is for the knot you can point to: desk shoulders, a lower back that tightens after a long drive, a neck that won't turn all the way, legs that feel heavy after training. Not sure which to book? Start with Clinical Restore and tell your therapist what you need; they adjust pressure as you go. Both are open to every skin tone and every body. If you're pregnant, take blood thinners, have had recent surgery, or have a skin condition, note it on your massage form so your therapist can plan around it, and check with your doctor first if you're unsure.
What to Expect
Arrive about ten minutes early to finish your massage form if you haven't already. Your therapist walks you through the plan, then steps out while you undress to your comfort level and get under the sheet. Only the area being worked on is uncovered. Thirty minutes covers back, neck, and shoulders. Sixty is a full-body session. Ninety leaves time for the areas that never get enough attention, like hips, feet, and forearms. Deep doesn't mean painful. You set the ceiling, and your therapist checks in. Afterward, expect to feel loose and a little slow. After deep work, some soreness the next day is normal, the way you'd feel after a good workout. Drink water and keep moving. Warm stone, cupping, and sugar scrub add-ons can be added to any 60 or 90 min massage.

The Kintsu Difference
Why choose Kintsu for massage?
Your therapist is licensed in Virginia and works from what you tell them that day, not a script. We leave a 15-minute reset between clients, so nobody is rushed in or out. Pressure and technique are adjusted to you, and you can change your mind mid-session. Cupping uses lighter suction and shorter holds unless you ask otherwise, and our sugar scrub dissolves as it works, because gentler choices matter most on melanin-rich skin and are the better call on every skin tone, Fitzpatrick I to VI. And because Kintsu is a physician-led practice, your massage sits alongside the rest of your care here, from facials to body treatments, under one roof.
Kintsu Medical Aesthetics is located at 9110 Railroad Drive, Suite 320A, Manassas Park, VA 20111. We serve patients throughout Northern Virginia and Prince William County, including Manassas, Woodbridge, Bristow, Gainesville, Haymarket, and surrounding communities.

Start with Clinical Restore if you want a full-body session or aren't sure. Choose Precision Deep Relief if you have a specific knot or tight area you want worked on. You can change pressure at any point in either one.
No. Pressure builds slowly and stays within what's comfortable for you. Some soreness the next day is normal, like after a workout.
Yes, to any 60 or 90 min massage. Cupping can leave round marks for a few days to a week, longer on deeper skin tones, so your therapist starts with lighter suction.
Cupping can leave round marks that last a few days to a week. On deeper skin tones those marks can linger longer as temporary darkening, so your therapist uses lighter suction and shorter holds unless you ask otherwise. Skip it before an event where your back will show.
We use sugar instead of salt or walnut shell because it dissolves as it works, which is gentler on every skin tone and less likely to leave the irritation that can turn into dark marks on melanin-rich skin. It is not recommended within 48 hours of waxing, laser, or a chemical peel.
