Our Story
Built for skin that has been overlooked long enough.
There is a Japanese art form called kintsugi. When a piece of pottery breaks, you do not throw it away. You repair it with gold lacquer. The cracks become the most visible part — not because the damage is celebrated, but because the repair is.
Kintsu Medical Aesthetics was built around a clinical reality: skin of color responds differently to aesthetic treatments, and too many practices have not caught up to that fact. Our physician co-founder, Dr. Nawal, MD, is not a signature on a compliance form. She is a co-founder and active Medical Director, present in the practice and directly involved in every patient's care.
