Is this safe for my skin tone?

Yes, for every skin tone, Fitzpatrick I–VI. HydraFacial and microneedling are two of the better-tolerated treatments for melanin-rich skin when the protocol is matched to your type, and we hold that same precision for fair skin too. HydraFacial uses suction and hydration rather than heat or strong acids. Microneedling is calibrated by needle depth and interval. Both are physician-led at Kintsu, and your first visit includes a complimentary consultation to confirm the right starting point.

Will microneedling cause dark spots?

It shouldn't when needle depth is set to your Fitzpatrick type and the interval between sessions is respected. Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation is the real risk in deeper skin, and lighter skin has its own risks, like redness and over-treatment, which is exactly why we start conservative, watch how your skin responds, and only advance when it's earned. A provider who treats your skin type every day is the safeguard here, not a stronger setting.

What does “calibrated for your skin tone” actually mean?

It means energy, depth, and pass count are set to your Fitzpatrick type, I through VI, instead of one protocol borrowed for every face.
